I wanted to take minute to thank everyone again for keeping up with this blog, posting, or just checking it every so often. What I thought initially as a way to keep my family informed has really become a drive for me. Its great maintaining contact with some semblance of the real world. Also, just a note to a few people. Matt Glisson. E-mail sometime. Haven't heard from you in a while. Scott, you too. I made it to 200 lbs. I trying to hold my Adonis image as best as possible. Its hard to with all this ice cream here though. 200 lb party will occur on leave though.

they had a little segment on CNN last night about the Strykers and the units coming out of Ft. Lewis, but most of the footage was filmed about 2-3 years ago, so there wasn't a chance of seeing mr. esteban! oh, and i dont know when you spoke with glisson last.. i'm hoping it was more recent than the last time i spoke with him.. but i talked to him a bit after he got through ranger school.. i could ask matt where he is now.. but you may already know! take care, steve, and i'll still be reading! xoxo, Laura

Steven ~ it's wonderful to hear from you, too. It's probably impossible to keep up with the e-mails you receive. Looking forward to seeing you in Orlando? In the meantime, another package is on its way. Our thoughts and prayers are always with you! Stay safe and see you soon!
Love,
Mrs. C.

Hi Stephen,
I can't picture you at 200lbs! Are you sure you removed all the sand from your pockets and shoes?

We've a few good storms in Maine recently. One ice storm that created a luge down the driveway. To give you an idea, I slid down on my a** in jeans and had no problem picking up any momentum. Needless to say, no cars were getting in or out for about a week. I miss you!
Love, Kristen

P.S. Congratulations Kara!

It is interesting to read about your insider view of life in Iraq now. As Finland has no forces there we are quite impartial in this. Somehow Iraq feels more personal through you even though we have met only in Finland for a week. Good luck and keep on writing!
