And finally my new home. Its actually not too bad. I've added as much comfort as possible. As long as I watch the game on the 8th of Jan, I'll be good. I'm in this tent with 7 others. I've "acquired" furniture, but I still have the pleasure of sleeping on a cot. You know, I kind of like this better. Its like college all over again. Well, not really, but its not bad.
Some Marines passing us on the road, while traveling to Baghdad. Looks like a beast, but I think I'll stick with my Stryker.
I like this picture. We had driven all night. This is an operation we did recently. The sun was just coming up, which is the coldest part of the day. I was waiting for the sun to thaw me out. My hands had been long frozen. That is the good old Ma Duce (.50 Cal Machine Gun) outlined. As you can see, nothing much there. A few farms here and there.
This was a football stadium. Now its just a cool image of a bombed out complex. Gets boring to see after a while though. Wanted to shout out to Kitty for graduating, along with Stas and Marianna. Also, Stas congrats on the new job. Good luck man.
This was a quick stop on the way down south to Baghdad. I would say it was nice to get out into the country, but there was nothing to see, but sand.
Me with all the guys just before leaving. They were eating a form of marshmellow on a string. It had the consistency of rubber, but it tasted very sweet. I exchanged farewells and headed back to pack my bags (figuratively).
Me saying my goodbye to my buddy, a LT in the Iraqi Army, just before leaving Mosul.

Hello everyone. I'm having difficulty with the internet currently. I have arrived safely in Baghdad. I was well greeted by the familar smells of human decay as I entered. The Base here is something else. It has palaces everywhere....except where they put us which is the armpit of Baghdad. Tent city it was for us. I'm not complaining. If I can get the internet to accept the pictures then I will show you what we have done. I will update as soon as I can fix this.
