So, we are officially in Baghdad. This is one of my soldiers in the foreground. The swords are the entrance to a military parade field. I have another picture that shows the grounds much better. I just liked this one. On another note, please keep the Henkes family in your thoughts and prayers this Christmas. We will be remembering him here and celebrating in his name. I would ask for everyone back home to have just a moment of silence in honor of his memory and his family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
The guys getting packages and some cookies someone baked. Sorry, I am now refraining from posting any names. I don't want any negative attention brought on anyone. Its really just operational security I guess. I want to thank everyone who sent packages for the holidays. I have spoken with my parents and I believe I have received most of the packages already. The cookies were delicious as well. Also, any new packages sending out. If you can please put my units address as the return address, instead of yours, I would feel much better. I don't trust anyone out here and I don't want to bring any risk to anyone back home. Please contact my parents for the address.
